If you're wondering if you're doing chaturanga, plank, warrior one or the vinyasa flow correctly, this power yoga flow class for beginners is a great place to start. Fiji takes the time to break down each pose, focusing on alignment and how the pose should feel to you. Fiji occasionally holds poses for longer than she normally does, so remember to take breaks if you need to.

I started this class feeling tired after a busy day and at the end of class I was restored, reset and ready to go. Such wonderful instruction and a great pace for improving the poses.
Thank you, as always Fiji xx

I was postnatal when doing this class and had diastasis recti. I think it is a personal choice when practicing, when strengthening your core you need to modify and adjust to what you feel ready to do. Strenght builds gradually and naturally over time.

Thank you for this informative, detailed class. I have had a question for many years about the vinyasa, I always feel that I have to readjust my feet when I go from up dog to down dog. I notice that Fiji does not do this. Do I need to put my hands further back from the beginning (plank)? This I find very difficult, but possible if I put the knees down. Or what should be adjusted? It would be nice to flow through it all without having to rearrange. Thanks!

Great Question Claire! As we are all put together in different ways with different proportions the adjustment needed or not, may vary from person to person. I do like to avoid the shuffle where possible so I would try to adjust your stance a little bit at a time so it feels more natural. Also consider if you really need to reset your feet in down dog, often people do this without needing to just because their heels are not down. Many of us will never have heels on the ground in down dog just because of ankle anatomy.

I can't believe I've taught Yoga for 5 years and garnered so much depth from this video. Thank you Fiji for preparing this for us!
